Mother Murphy’s is proudly old-fashioned when it comes to customer service.
It’s been a point of pride for us from the beginning, and is a big reason why we’re still in business 74 years later.
We strive to provide an above-and-beyond level of customer service. It’s the common ingredient that runs through each aspect of our operations, from taking an order to filling it, to shipping the order in full and on time, to making sure the product purchased continues to fit the customer’s needs.
We notify our customers by email when their orders have shipped. In that shipping notification, we also include purchase order and deliver information.
We have three goals with this process to help ensure clear communication with our customers.

- Scope. Information can be read on any internet-enabled device.
- Consistency. Everyone in an organization receives the same information.
Mother Murphy’s uses an internal software solution for all aspects of our manufacturing and production systems.
We can quickly look up whether a specific lot of an ingredient or finished good is used in a formulation process, and at what point it was used. We also can produce reports that show which customers received a specific product, the lot they received, and the address to which the product was shipped.
This visibility into our manufacturing and production system gives us the ability to act quickly if any ingredient used in the production process is recalled. We can electronically review and confirm manufacturing steps and rapidly trace production lots. This slashes recall time to mere minutes.
